Computer Minder LLC

So, I get this email from insurance@fdic.com noting some malfeasance that requires me to take action by clicking on a link in the body of the email.  Except the email is from Latin America and the website would take me off to eastern Europe.

As you can see from the screenshot at the left, there is a link to "fdic.gov".  But it is a link to a computer which has it's IP address provided by a Russian company.

Using the mouse I hover over the link and looking at the lower left corner of the web browser see where the link would actually be taking me.

I entered the base url, haptered dot com, in a web browser and loaded it.  (Don't do this.)  My spyware poped up a page telling me that it had blocked an attempt to dowlnload a virus.
